52 Unknown Clam

One of the several clams I got on my first shipment. The lession is to CAREFULLY SNIF and observe your rock looking for dead stuff and CLAMS like this one.. Anything ROUND should be suspicious. You have to check VERY closely to see them (look for a line through the ball)  and make SURE you place them when rockscaping so they wont die.  Why ? so they can open and feed and also without hitting and toppling your reef wall. Same thing goes with turkey wings you'll be surprised at the power of these guys to move rock!  Photo: pvortex
